Injury Roundup: Week 15

Thankfully for your playoff teams there weren’t too many big name players hurt this week like last, but people still get hit by 300 pound guys that can lift their weight and lap you 12 times in a race, so there will be injuries and here they are.

Arizona Republic's Kent Somers reports that Larry Fitzgerald is "not OK" after sustaining a concussion in Sunday’s game against Tennessee. Fitzgerald "didn't feel well" and was "out of it" following the hit, which was believed to have occurred late in the fourth quarter on an onside kick.  Fitzgerald's Week 16 availability is up in the air at this point. He'll have to progress through the NFL's concussion testing protocol in order to be cleared to play at Seattle.

Donald Brown never returned to the game after leaving in the first quarter with a "stinger." Trent Richardson got the bulk of the work after Brown left and totaled 102 yards and a touchdown on 23 touches.

Victor Cruz  when he banged his head hard on the turf after going upd for the reception. He was down for a few minutes and then slowly went ino the locker room. He also sprained his knee to add injury to injury and his availability for the rest of the season is now in serious doubt with there being no legitimate reason to rush him back.

Jermaine Gresham was forced from Sunday night’s game against the Steelers due to a right hip injury. Tyler Eifert caught a touchdown in his absence and would get a bump in value if the injury keeps Gresham out any games.

Editor's Note: Rotoworld's partner FanDuel is hosting a one-week $300,000 Fantasy Football league for Week 16. It's $25 to join and first prize is $25,000. Starts Sunday at 1pm ET. Here's the FanDuel link.

Steelers’ linebacker LaMarr Woodley suffered a calf injury in the first quarter of the Sunday night game against the Bengals. He entered the game with a calf injury, but the team says the injury was to the opposite calf.

Drew Brees had his right (throwing) hand wrapped in ice following Sunday's loss at St. Louis. Brees played the entire game without issue and said his hand is fine.

Browns cornerback Joe Haden suffered a hip pointer against the Bears. Coach Rob Chudzinski said the team would know more about the severity after he is evaluated on Monday.

Patriots’ left tackle Nate Solder was forced from the game against the Dolphins with a head injury. This would be Solder’s second concussion in as many weeks and wouldn’t bode well for his Week 16 status.

Peyton Hillis suffered a concussion in the Giants loss to the Seahawks. He suffered the injury while catching a 14-yard pass in the fourth quarter. Michael Cox would fill in if Hillis can’t play next week.

Bengals’ linebacker James Harrison was taken to the locker room near the end of the first quarter of the Sunday night game against the Steelers to be evaluated for concussion and did not return.
