Breaking News:  Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Donnie Avery will be having sports hernia surgery and is ruled out of the Sunday afternoon match-up with the San Franscisco 49ers.

As we are alll in the midst of creating that winning lineup for the big $1,000,000 first prize in the Millionaire Maker contest this week, this is potentially big news.

No, we were not looking to have Avery in our lineup, but TRAVIS KELCE at only $3,000 was a very tempting option for the TE slot.

Well, this news could catapult Kelce from a potential starter in our lineups, to a very serious contender.  At $3,000, his salary makes him a great option as it frees up cap room for other higher-priced studs, and with Avery out he becomes a bigger target for Alex Smith and even more attractive for our roster.

So far this year, Kelce is already leading the Chiefs receivers in Receptions (16), Targets (24), Yardage (259) and Touchdowns (2).  Avery was second with 14 recptions on 23 targets and 156 yards.

Against San Francisco, who are tough against the TE, Kelce will undoubtably continue to be used in a more WR mode, lining up outside, in the slot, etc., and as such should be better than the more "normal TE" against a 49ers defense that has given up the eigth most points to opposing wide receivers.

With more fantasy points each week, Kelce laid 23.3 points on the New England Patriots last week with 8 catches on 9 targets and 93 yards and a touchdown.  A similar performance can be expected for Kelce against the 49ers, as Jamaal Charles is a week healthier and as the San Francisco defense worries about both Charles and Knile Davis, Kelce should be able to run his routes and provide a nice target for Alex Smith, especially in the Red Zone.

At $3,000, Travis Kelce is a no-brainer this week as all signs point to him being "the man" in the Chiefs passing attack, and a 20 point fantasy week seems to be well with in his reach.  Those 20 points could be just this thing to put your lineup over the top.

Lock it up, sit back and watch those points come rolling it.
