What NFL Players Will Make You Money This Week
Worst defenses against the pass: Worst defenses against the run:
32. JAX 32. GB
31. ATL 31. OAK
29. NO 30. ATL
TB 29. CAR
28. DAL 28. PHIL
27. BUF 27. JAX
26. BAL 26. HOU
25. PHIL 25. NE
24. NY GIANTS 24. TN
23. IND 23. NO
22. CHI 22. CHI
What receivers will put up big points for you?
Antonio Brown - #4 in receiving yards. Big Ben's favorite target all over the field. Facing the worst pass defense in the NFL, JAX. Yikes. Could be a huge day.
Victor Cruz - Slow start to the year along with the rest of the NY Giants. He is coming off back to back 100 yard games and gets to face the 31st worst pass defense of the ATL Falcons.
Steve Smith - #3 in receiving yards. He will face the 23rd ranked IND pass defense.
Kelvin Benjamin - This talented rookie has already climbed his way up to 9th in NFL receiving yards. He will face the 22nd ranked CHI pass defense.
Julio Jones - You can never go wrong with Julio Jones. The Falcons struggle on the road but will be facing the 24th ranked NY Giants pass defense.
TY Hilton - TY's stats have improved every game. No doubt Andrew Luck will find holes in the 26th ranked BAL pass defense. TY also ranks 7th in the NFL with 38 targets. Luck is looking for TY, don't be surprised to see TY's 2014 breakout game this week against the Ravens.
Value WRs in week to week fantasy football:
Golden Tate - He is quietly tied for 10th in the NFL in receiving yards and actually has 3 more receptions than Calvin Johnson. DET will also be facing the #27 BUF pass defense. Calvin Johnson is nursing injuries this week so look for Tate to get even more looks.
Andrew Hawkins - A very underappreciated Hawkins is tied for 16th in the NFL with 33 targets. Brian Hoyer is looking for Hawkins and they will face a TN who just gave up 390 yards passing and 4 TD to Andrew Luck last week.
Brandin Cooks - Cooks hasn't been able to match his breakout performance in week 1 but he is the most targeted New Orleans WR and he will be facing the 29th ranked TB pass defense, in the dome.
What running backs are a sure thing this week?
DeMarco Murray - Leading rusher in the NFL, playing at home, facing the 26th ranked HOU run defense.
Le'Veon Bell - 2nd leading rusher will face the 27th ranked JAX run defense.
Rashad Jennings - 3rd leading rusher will face the 30th ranked ATL run defense.
Matt Forte - Had his first big game of the year last week against GB. Now he will face the struggling 29th ranked CAR run defense
Doug Martin - His first game back against the Steelers was fair. He did score a TD. This week he will face the 23rd ranked NO run defense. Look for Martin to be used a lot near the goal line with a young Glennon at QB.
Value back in a week to week fantasy league
Chris Ivory - 7th leading rusher. He is facing the 11th ranked SD run defense but Ivory managed to put up 84 yards against a very good DET run defense last week.
What defense will give you more than 10 points this week?
I am putting all of my eggs in one defense, that is the Detroit Lions! They are playing at home against the Buffalo Bills. The Strength of the Bills offense lies in the running game with Spiller and Jackson while the Lions have looked stout against the run, ranking 7th in that defensive category.
The Lions have managed to earn the 5th ranked defense against the pass. They have faced Eli Manning, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, and Geno Smith, thus far. Now, that 5th ranked defense will face, Kyle Orton...at home. Yes, the man who got benched for Tim Tebow.
The Lions 4 defensive lineman have shown they can get to the QB often. This allows the linebackers and secondary to blanket the opposing team's receiving core and intercept poor thrown balls thanks to that D-line pressure. A pick 6 would be no surprise to anyone during this game.
