The Top 5 Contenders For The Lombardi Trophy

There is only one more week of the NFL season left. Most of the teams have been locked into the playoffs already. Anyone of the teams that make the playoffs has a chance to win the Super Bowl. It’s not always the best team that wins the Super Bowl it’s usually the team that gets hot at the end. I have 5 title contenders that I think could win the Super Bowl

1. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions. The Seahawks have everything that’s needed to win the Super Bowl. They have a strong defense led by Richard Sherman and company. They have a strong running back in Marshawn Lynch. They also have the veteran experience of what it takes to win a Super Bowl.

2. Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning is hungry to get his revenge for losing the Super Bowl last year to the Seahawks. The Broncos have been hot as of late even though they lost last night to the Cincinnati Bengals. If the Broncos can win next week they will get a first round by in the playoffs. That will let Manning and the banged up Julius Thomas get an extra week of rest. A full rest Broncos could be trouble for the rest of the NFL.

3. Green Bay Packers

For a while the Packers looked like the best team in the NFL. Then came last week they lost to the Buffalo Bills. It was arguably Rodgers’ worst game of his career. He only threw for 185 yards with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Then two days ago the Packers showed they were the team that could rank up the points throw the air and the ground. This is not the Packers first shot at the Super Bowl.

4. New England Patriots

Remember a few months ago when the Patriots lost to the Chiefs 41-14 in week 4 and everyone was crying saying Brady and the Patriots were done for. The Patriots were far from being done for. The Patriots are now (12-3) and have the best record in the NFL. If there is one thing you learn by watching football, you never doubt Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. No matter who the Patriots are playing and no matter who Brady has around him they always find away to get the win.

5. Dallas Cowboys

Remember what I said about a team just needs to be hot to win a Super Bowl? It might be tough to find another team that’s hotter right now then the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are coming off a 41-7 beat down of another playoff team in the Indianapolis Colts. The Cowboys could possibly have the best quarterback, running back, wide receiver combo in the form of Tony Romo, Demarco Murray and Dez. The Cowboys defense can be shaky at times but if the offense is clicking it could be a tough time to slow down the Cowboys.
