Miami Dolphins: Three New Year's Resolutions For 2015
Maybe the pieces to the puzzle are starting to fit into place for the Miami Dolphins.
Despite another 8-8 record, head coach Joe Philbin was told he would remain with the team for the 2015 season. Then the team announced that Mike Tannenbaum was hired as the new executive VP of football operations. Shortly following that announcement, it was learned that Philbin would not only be on the sideline next season, but the team was working on an extension for his services.
With these pieces in place, plus the inner workings of team general manager Dennis Hickey, could next season be “The Season” for this franchise?
With a new year and new opportunity in mind, can the Dolphins, who finished third in the AFC East behind New England and Buffalo last season, take the step they have been expected to the past few years?
There are still many issues to be ironed out with the team, the roster and who reports to who in terms of executive control, but if you are looking at this team from a pure football perspective, team owner Stephen Ross appears to have the team moving forward.
Here are three resolutions this team should try to follow through with as the new season approaches.
