So, there is the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers’ schedule. It certainly has its fair share of big time matchups throughout the season.
A few games that really catch the eye of most are the battles against San Diego, Kansas City, Seattle and New England, all on the road. The Steelers had one of their best offensive seasons in the history of their franchise and they will have to carry that firepower on the road in these marquee matchups.
The two meetings with Baltimore are the highlight games each season for both the Ravens and Steelers, so those two games always go a long ways in determining how each team’s respective season plays out.
I believe the three games against Seattle, New England and Denver will play a huge role in whether the Steelers are battling for a top 15 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, or battling for a playoff spot in this coming season’s playoffs.
The Steelers had an incredible offensive season in 2014, as I mentioned earlier, and for Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, it was a breakthrough season to help prove to his critics that he is an elite quarterback.
The 2015 season for Pittsburgh will likely be decided by the play of their defense. Pittsburgh has always been known for their hard hitting, physical style of defense, but with a change in the defensive roster the past few years it has not produced the same “Steel Curtain” type defense.
The season is only months away and for the diehard fan base of the Steelers, it can’t come fast enough. 2015 will be a crucial year for Big Ben and Head Coach Mike Tomlin. A new year brings new hopes and for steeler fans those hopes are always to be crowned Super Bowl champions.
