Kansas City Chiefs 'State of the Season' Infographic - Week 5

Here we are with an update to Week 5's "State of the Season" Report in inforgraphic form. This new weekly series of our beloved Kansas City Chiefs, boils down the current state of affairs for the team using an infographic that is heavy on the illustration and light on the rambling.

This infographic will be updated on a weekly basis showing the progress or regression of the team, key stats and history, as well as a quick summary on what went right or wrong over the past week.

This is the first time that a summary of the season will be captured in a single page summary for the fans.

The Chiefs' record now stands at 2-3 after a disappointing showing in San Francisco. Kansas City lost a prime opportunity to make 2 statement wins in a row coming off the drubbing of the New England Patriots last Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Unfortunately, it's yet another disappointment after missed opportunities and poor coaching doomed them in. After a strong first half, the Chiefs looked flat and could not stop the Niners clock-eating drives nor move the ball with any consistency in the second half.

Kansas City heads into the bye week off this loss and has plenty of time to prepare for the suddenly red-hot San Diego Super-Chargers. They need to get healthy, and find more consistency both in the play-calling and on the field or this last loss could easily turn into a deeper slide. There is no relief in the schedule coming, so time to get the house in order quickly.
