Tennessee Vols Make 2014 Legacy Class Official On Signing Day

TennesseeThe 2014 Tennessee recruiting class, better known as the legacy class, is now official as national signing day took place Wednesday.
Dillon Bates, Neiko Creamer, Todd Kelly, Jr. are all the sons of former Tennessee football starters. Vic Wharton also has ties to Tennessee athletics, as his uncle was a member of the Tennessee men's basketball team from 1996-99.
Elliott and Evan Berry are twin sons of former Tennessee running back James Berry and brothers of former All-American Eric Berry, who was a defensive captain for the Vols.
Six players helped deem Vol nation to call the 2014 recruiting class as 'the legacy class' - and they are as followed:
Dillon Bates - Dillon's father Bill was a UT standout and an All-Pro with the Dallas Cowboys. Dillon brings quality play to the linebacker position. Bates finished his high school career with 307 total tackles (197 solo, 120 asst.). Dillon also finished with 17 tackles for loss, five sacks, seven interceptions and three blocked punts.
Elliott Berry - The brother of current Kansas City Chiefs DB, Eric. Elliott played outside linebacker in high school and brings speed and strength to Tennessee. Elliott runs a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash and benches 315 lbs. Ball instincts and tackling in space are the upsides to Elliott's game.
Evan Berry - That's right, another Berry. Elliott and Evan are twin brothers and both will play on the defensive side of the ball. Evan will play at cornerback for the Vols as Tennessee looks to repair a secondary that averaged giving up 211 yards per game through the air.
Neiko Creamer - Neiko's father Andre played for Johnny Majors from 1984-87 when the Vols were 33-12-1. Neiko will look to duplicate his father's 120 total tackles and six INTs at Tennessee. At 6'3", 223 pounds, Neiko can play receiver or tight end.
Todd Kelly Jr.- The son of Todd Kelly, Sr. who was a star defender for Majors' teams that went 38-9-2 from 1989-92. Kelly Jr. is not an early enrollee, but lives in Knoxville and will be close to the program throughout spring practices. Todd brings play-making skills to the Tennessee defense and has good instincts that counter his tackling and ball skills. The Vols' secondary will benefit with Kelly in the lineup this fall.
Vic Wharton - Vic was the first to verbally commit to Jones' 2014 class and is the nephew of Brandon Wharton - a standout basketball player for the Vols. Vic played both ways in high school and was well rounded in his box score. The Thompson's Station, Tenn. native finished with 848 yards on the ground, 444 yards passing and reeled in 1,445 yards receiving. Vic also produced 1,207 kick-off return yards and 521 yards on punt returns. On the defensive side, Wharton had 91 total tackles (71 solo), eight interceptions and two blocked field goals.
