Fantasy Football Millionaire Maker: Who’s Hot, Who’s Not

Do you play Fantasy Football? If the answer is yes, this week is the most exciting opportunity in the history of the game. Win a MILLION DOLLARS playing Fantasy Football this week only! Go to www.FFChamps.com/million and get in on the action.

It is only $27 to enter the Millionaire Maker fantasy football contest this week. First place gets $1 Million in cash, second place is $100,000 in cash and 15,500 contestants (1 out of 6) will win money.

In the Millionaire Maker fantasy football contest this week, you draft your lineup with a $50,000 virtual budget. All contestants are selecting from the same pool and all players can be used by all contestants. You can change your lineup all the way up until Sunday Kickoff. It takes less than one minute to sign up and about five minutes to draft your lineup.

I will be here all week long to give advice on whom to start, who to avoid and provide information on sleepers that could be key in your quest for a MILLION dollars.

This piece will look at who is hot and who is not heading into Week 5.

Hot: Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers has been on an absolute tear the past three weeks. San Diego has won three straight games, with its signal caller lighting up the stat sheet in each contest. The 32-year-old has yet to lose a fumble this season and has not thrown an interception since Week 1.

Rivers has thrown for 917 yards and eight touchdowns, without a turnover, against the Seahawks, Bills and Jaguars. It is hard to go against a guy who throws three touchdowns passes against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Not: Nick Foles

If Drew Stanton threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco defense, Nick Foles should have a field day, right? Apparently not. The Philadelphia quarterback struggled greatly in Week 4, completing less than 50 percent of his passes.

Foles finished the game without a touchdown, throwing two interceptions and finishing the game with just under 200 total yards. He amassed all of four fantasy points and will have to go up against another tough NFC West defense in Week 5.

Hot: Eddie Royal

The Chargers quarterback is about as hot as it gets in terms of fantasy point production and so is their No. 2 receiver. Eddie Royal has had a huge couple of weeks for this team as he tries to cement himself as one of the league’s best No. 2 wideouts.

Royal has caught four touchdown passes in his past two games to go along with 147 receiving yards. He is averaging nearly 20 fantasy points per week, yet only has a $4,400 salary on the Draft Kings site.

Not: Calvin Johnson

Calvin Johnson has the highest salary among receivers and the sixth highest salary among all players in the Millionaire Maker challenge, but did next to nothing in Week 4. Detroit did pick up a win over the Jets; however Megatron had just two catches for 12 yards and all of 1.2 fantasy points.

It is quite possible that he bounces back in Week 5, but it would be hard to justify spending $8,200 to have him in your lineup.

Hot: Martellus Bennett

In just one month, Martellus Bennett went from being a guy that was barely drafted in some leagues to someone that everybody wants on their roster. He currently has the fourth highest salary among tight ends on Draft Kings, and rightfully so.

Bennett, statistically, has been on a tear, scoring at least 10 points in every single one of his matchups so far this season. Whether he finds the end zone, or puts up a ton of yards, either way, he is becoming a player you can count on.

Not: Jason Witten

Many football fans know the name Jason Witten all too well and some people will probably make the mistake of drafting him in the Millionaire Maker challenge because he is, indeed, a household name.

Though many may still consider him a top-five tight end in the NFL, from a fantasy perspective, he has not done much. The Cowboys are finding success in different areas on offense, leaving Witten with just 156 receiving yards on the season. You can get him for fairly cheap at Draft Kings, but this may be a case where you should spend a little bit more money to get someone who has produced in 2014.
