Below you’ll find Over-Priced and Best Buys for QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs. These are purely my suggestion as to which players come at a reasonable or unreasonable price based on their projected production. Some of them I don’t like based on match-ups while others I love the match-ups but don’t like the price.
It’s important to note you don’t want to ONLY use the Best Buy Players, this is simply a way to find some “sleepers” to fill your lineup. We still suggest going after studs especially at RB1 and WR1.
Best Buy Wide Receivers
Dez Bryant $6,900 vs. Redskins: 2 out of 3 weeks with over 22 fantasy points and he’s going up against one of the weakest secondaries in the league who have given up 15 or more points to opposing team’s Number 1 receivers in their last two games.
Golden Tate $6,500 vs. Falcons: Double digit targets and over 100 receiving yards in 3 of last 4 games.
Jeremy Maclin $5,500 vs. Cardinals: The price is right considering he has an excellent match-up against a Cardinals team that is struggling when it comes to stopping the pass.
ABSOLUTE STEAL: Julian Edelman $4,600 vs. Bears: Edelman hasn’t found the end-zone since Week 2 but look for that to change against the Bears Defense who’s let up at least one TD to opposing WRs in 6 of their 7 games.
BIG RISK SMALL PRICE: Davante Adams $3,500 vs. Saints: Locked in as Aaron Rodgers’ Number 3 target and playing in what should be a very high scoring game are working in this rookie’s favor for Week 8.
Over Priced Wide Receivers
Julio Jones $7,000 vs. Lions: JJ hasn’t scored since Week 3 and the Lions have let up just three TDs to opposing WRs all year.
T.Y. Hilton $6,800 vs.Steelers: Hitlon has been on a yardage tear all season but has only found the end-zone once which isn’t a good trend since he’s going up against a Steelers defense that hasn’t let an opposing WR score since Week 4.
Mo Sanu $5,600 vs. Ravens: Without A.J. Green healthy, Sanu has taken over the Number 1 receiver role. He looked more than capable against the Panthers but was a HUGE disappointment against the Colts. Now he gets the Ravens and will draw Jimmy Smith in coverage.
Best Buy Tight Ends:
Greg Olsen $5,500 vs. Seahawks: At least six catches in his last three games and over 21 fantasy points in two of his last three outings.
Jordan Reed $4,000 vs. Cowboys: The Cowboys are giving up the most points to opposing TEs and the Redskins will likely be in pass mode often. Garbage Times points still equal Points!!!
ABSOLUTE STEAL Dwayne Allen $3,900 vs. Steelers: Could see more targets if Reggie Wayne is out. Has scored in 5 of his last 7 games.
Over Priced Tight Ends
Jimmy Graham $5,600 vs. Packers: He was active in Week 7 but didn’t get one single target. He’s not healthy yet and it’s clear the Saints are using him as a decoy.
Delanie Walker $4,300 vs. Texans: Rookie Zach Metteneberger is getting the start for the Titans and after a really hot start, Walker cooled off in a big way scoring less than 10 fantasy points in his last three games.
