Kansas City Chiefs 'State of the Season' Infographic - Week 8

Time for an update to Week 8's "State of the Season" Report in inforgraphic form. This new weekly series of our beloved Kansas City Chiefs, boils down the current state of affairs for the team using an infographic that is heavy on the illustration and light on the rambling.

This infographic will be updated on a weekly basis showing the progress or regression of the team, key stats and history, as well as a quick summary on what went right or wrong over the past week.

This is the first time that a summary of the season will be captured in a single page summary for the fans.

The Chiefs' were able to climb above .500 and a half of a game back (1 in the win column) for a tie for second place with the San Diego Chargers. KC has won two in a row after the bye week, and while the performance of the Rams left many of us feeling like this was a game the Chiefs "should have" won, they did just that. The defense made sure that Austin Davis will have nightmares for a long time thanks to the 7 sacks they put on him. Offensively, the Chiefs took many "small steps" by dinking and dunking their way downfield, but still leaned on Charles when it mattered down the stretch. The recipe was plenty fulfilling enough for this week.

Now Kansas City gets to stay home again next week to take on a Jets team that is literally in shambles and may have me or you starting at QB. Nonetheless, the Chiefs can't underestimate a team desperate to get a W for the sake of their (and their coaches') jobs.
