Kansas City Chiefs 'State of the Season' Infographic - Week 9
It's time for another update after Week 9 for the "State of the Season" Report in inforgraphic form. This new weekly series of our beloved Kansas City Chiefs, boils down the current state of affairs for the team using an infographic that is heavy on the illustration and light on the rambling.
This infographic is being updated on a weekly basis to reflect the progress (or regression) of the team, with some key stats and history, as well as a quick summary on what went right or wrong over the past week.
This is the first time that a summary of the season will be captured in a single page summary for the fans.
The Chiefs' were able to grab another win and move into sole possession of 2nd place in the AFC West (after San Diego's schlacking at Miami) with a convincing win at home against the hapless New York Jets. After a Denver loss to Tom Brady and the Pats, Kansas City finds itself within one game of first place. While the victory never relly felt in doubt, KC still left some points on the field and allowed Michael Vick and company a few too many moments of promise. Are the Jets just not as bad as we all thought, or was KC caught letting off the gas for a short stretch?
Either way, Kansas City locked up the most important stat (the W) and now heads into Buffalo to face a team that also sits at 5-3 and within striking distance of their own division. This is a game the Chiefs should win, but they're going to have to earn it and show us all they are ready to take the next step as a team.
