FN's "Monday Morning Huddle": Controversy & Injuries the Story in Wild Card Weekend
Football Nation presents its 29th episode in Season Three of "Monday Morning Huddle". Wild Card Weekend was full of injures with the Cardinals missing their top two quarterbacks, the Steelers without their Pro Bowl running back and the Bengals missing their top two receivers. All three teams struggled on offense. To help host Dave Holcomb sort through all the injury madness, the show welcomes longtime guest star Cooper Allen and new guest Doug Tozier.
Allen and Holcomb breakdown the Cardinals and Panthers Wild Card matchup to kick off the playoff season while Tozier helps analyze the Bengals' fourth straight playoff disappointment. Holcomb also shares his thoughts from the other two Wild Card games from the weekend. To cap the episode, Holcomb then discusses what could have contributed to the referee controversy in Dallas and the squabbling going on in Upstate New York. All that and more on this episode of Monday Morning Huddle.
This episode is in tribute of ESPN's Stuart Scott, who passed on Sunday morning after three battles with cancer.
