It was the end of a grueling and disappointing season for the New England Patriots, who clawed their way to the AFC Championship only to fall victim to the Denver Broncos. We all knew they had serious deficiencies that showed in a big way in that contest.

And in short order, Bill Belichick took care of the biggest problem by snatching Darrelle Revis from the waiver wire before anybody else could blink.
