2015 New England Patriots Schedule Preview and Analysis

The 2014 season for the New England Patriots ended in a dream fashion. The Patriots was able to outlast the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played. The Seahawks were looking to become the first team since the Patriots in 2003 and 2004 to repeat as Super Bowl champions, but came up just short of that goal.

The Patriots were able to prevent the Seahawks from accomplishing that same feat with a goal line interception with just seconds remaining in the 4th quarter. New England won its fourth Super Bowl since the 2001 season and stamped themselves as one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the NFL.

Now the question is where do the Patriots go from here starting in 2015? The Patriots will be favorites once again in the AFC East division and very easily could be favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champions just as they did little more than a decade ago.

The 2015 season will be an interesting one as the Patriots look to keep the momentum they built towards the end of last year and roll it over to another Super Bowl run in 2015.

I want to take a look at the 2015 New England Patriots and point out some key games that will decide just how well New England does in the 2015 regular season. The Patriots have owned the AFC East since the Tom Brady era begin in 2001. That is not likely to change in 2015, but the decline of Brady and the Patriots organization is likely to come at some point you would think.

So, here is the entire 2015 New England Patriots’ schedule.

Week 1- Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots

Week 2- New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills

Week 3- Jacksonville Jaguars @ New England Patriots

Week 4- Bye Week

Week 5- New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys

Week 6- New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts

Week 7- New York Jets @ New England Patriots

Week 8- Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots

Week 9- Washington Redskins @ New England Patriots

Week 10- New England Patriots @ New York Giants

Week 11- Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Week 12- New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos

Week 13- Philadelphia Eagles @ New England Patriots

Week 14- New England Patriots @ Houston Texans

Week 15- Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots

Week 16- New England Patriots @ New York Jets

Week 17- New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins

So, there you have the Patriots’ 2015 schedule. The Patriots will open the 2015 NFL season on the traditional first Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This will be one of the marquee games of not only week one, but the entire season.

The Steelers always have Super Bowl hopes and they will look to dethrone the Patriots to earn that crown. The Patriots’ schedule has the bulk of their home games towards the middle of the season. This should help the midseason grind that every team experiences due to injuries and fatigue.

The Patriots have some key out of conference games against the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys. New England will face all four NFC East teams, which will be four defining games that helps determine how well the Patriots do in 2015.

The overall theme for 2015 for the Patriots will be to maintain the success they experienced late last year. Each year is different, but as long as the Patriots have Tom Brady then most of their issues should be held to a minimum.

The 2014 New England Patriots completed the dream season by winning Super Bowl 49 and now the quest to repeat and win Super Bowl 50 starts Thursday, September 10, 2015 against the Steelers.
