2014 Fantasy Football Quick Hits: Week 9

Happy Halloweeen...

There’s so much happening on a week to week basis in the NFL, sometimes it’s tough to step back and look at the season as a whole instead of a weekly chaotic mess that often leaves you scrambling to overcome injuries and bye weeks.

My goal for this article is to not only talk about players trending up and down based on their weekly performances, but also to give some insights on their overall outlook for the remainder of the 2014 season.

Quick reminder before getting into the Quick Hits: There’s a MILLION DOLLARS going out to the 1st place finisher in Week 9.

ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Click here to get in on the action.

Quarterbacks:

Andrew Luck, Colts: On pace to lead the league in yards and fantasy points for QBs.

Drew Brees, Saints: Completely different animal when playing at home, in the dome.

Tom Brady, Patriots: Brady and the Pats are firing on all cylinders. Tom has 13 TDs in last 3 games.

Nick Foles, Eagles: Three straight games with 2 TDs, Foles and the Eagles passing attack are starting to warm up.

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers: Anytime a QB throws for over 500 yards and 6 TDs, he's getting a BIG boost in stock.

Jay Cutler, Bears: Despite the incredible passing game weapons, Cutler is still marred by inconsistent play.

Matt Ryan, Falcons: The worst O-Line in football is causing Ryan's stock to plummet.

Carson Palmer, Cardinals: His wide receivers are breaking off big catches for TDs which is obviously helping boost his fantasy stats.

Andy Dalton, Bengals: Getting A.J. Green back into the lineup will help him break his passing game slump.

Brian Hoyer, Browns: How long before the Cleveland fans demand Manziel under center?

Geno Smith, Jets: The Jets turned the page on Geno, which is NOT AT ALL SURPRISING.

Running Backs:

Jamaal Charles, Chiefs:  Has yet to reach 100 rushing yards but making up for it in a big way thanks to receiving yardage.

Le’Veon Bell, Steelers: Incredible he only has 2 rushing TDs all year, but in a PPR League he's a clear cut Top 3 option.

Arian Foster, Texans: Foster has AT LEAST 100 rushing yards in 6 out of 7 games.

LeSean McCoy, Eagles: With just one TD on the year, McCoy still remains an excellent buy low candidate

Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks: Just one game with over 100 rushing yards, Lynch has been more Beast Mode in the locker-room than on the field.

Gio Bernard, Bengals: A hip injury may slow him down a bit the next few weeks.

Andre Ellington, Cardinals: Double digit fantasy points in Non-PPR in 4 straight weeks.

Justin Forsett, Ravens: 11th in Non-PPR fantasy points for the RB position.

Ahmad Bradshaw, Colts: A Top 10 option in PPR, Bradshaw is rewarding fantasy owners with consistent TDs and handful of catches every week.

Lamar Miller, Dolphins: An increase from 53, to 61, to 78 yards the last three weeks is a trend going in the right direction.

Chris Ivory, Jets: 3 TDs in the last 3 weeks, the only Jets player you can consistently rely on.

Shane Vereen, Patriots: Coach Belichick doesn't care about your fantasy team, so don't get mad when Vereen isn't the featured RB in the Pats backfield.

Rashad Jennings, Giants:  Recovery from his MCL sprain is taking longer than expected.

Reggie Bush, Lions: Even if he's healthy after the bye, Bush will start losing opportunities to Theo Riddick.

Mark Ingram, Saints: Week 8 was perhaps the best game of his career, now he just has to stay healthy.

Ryan Mathews, Chargers: Should return to action after the team's bye week.

Jerick McKinnon, Vikings: He's getting the yards (186 the last two games), but still hasn't scored a TD.

Denard Robinson, Jaguars: Back-to-back weeks of over 100 yards is the type of production we like to see.

Darren Sproles, Eagles:  Back at practice and should be back in the Eagles backfield in Week 9.

DeAngelo Williams, Panthers: Taking back the starting role now that his ankle is healed.

Tre Mason, Rams: The Rams backfield is a mess, but Mason is clearly the most talented runner of the group.

Doug Martin, Bucs:  Despite a great upcoming schedule, Martin is one of the major fantasy disappointments.

Charles Sims, Bucs: Coaching staff is excited to get him on the field, which means you should be excited about picking him up.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, Ravens:  Usage in and around the goal-line is a great way for him to stack up some garbage fantasy points.

Theo Riddick, Lions:  Earned an opportunity to rotate with Bush after the team's bye week.

Jonas Gray, Patriots: Taking over the Stevan Ridley role but WON'T be an every week option.

Wide Receivers:

Antonio Brown, Steelers: Perhaps the most fun receiver to watch in 2014. Acrobatic catches and explosive and shifty moves on every single reception.

Jordy Nelson, Packers: Will only lay a dud once or twice in a season, good to get that performance out of the way.

Randall Cobb, Packers: On pace to lead the all receivers in TDs with 18.

Julio Jones, Falcons: Scoreless since Week 3 is a letdown and that's putting it lightly.

T.Y. Hilton, Colts: At least six receptions and over 100 yards in his last three games.

Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos: Anyone that complained he wasn't scoring enough got served up a nice treat with his 3 TD performance in Week 8.

Golden Tate, Lions: Top 5 WR the last two weeks, Tate will still see his fair share of action even with Calvin Johnson coming back.

Jeremy Maclin, Eagles: On pace to score as many TDs as Demaryius Thomas and Antonio Brown.

Sammy Watkins, Bills:  3 TDs and 279 yards in his last two games is a great sample size of why the Bills traded to get him in the Draft.

Keenan Allen, Chargers: Terrible 1st half of the year should transform into a great 2nd half of the season.

Mo Sanu, Bengals: Once A.J. Green comes back, Sanu will have the benefit of playing against the weaker CB.

Andrew Hawkins, Browns: Clearly Cleveland's Number 1 passing option and it's not even close.

Allen Robinson, Jaguars: Back-to-back games with a TD and Robinson and Bortles are showing great chemistry.

Brandin Cooks, Saints: Monster game vs. the Packers is a great example of his explosion and playmaking ability.

Davante Adams, Packers: Plenty of targets to go around in the Packers offense.

Josh Gordon, Browns:  After each week wraps up, we are just getting closer and closer to him coming off suspension.

Andre Holmes, Raiders: Perhaps the best player in Garbage Time and yes those points still count.

Donte Moncrief, Colts: Performed much better than Hakeem Nicks while Reggie Wayne was out with an injury.

Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski, Patriots: In case you missed Week 8...GRONK IS BACK

Jimmy Graham, Saints: After just one bad game due to his shoulder injury, Graham found the end-zone in Week 8, which gave all fantasy owners a big sigh of relief.

Antonio Gates, Chargers: Enter cliche about fine win getting better with age here.

Dwayne Allen, Colts: Receptions and targets aren't staggering, but his TD percentage certainly is. He's scoring on every 4th catch.

Heath Miller, Steelers: One of the Steelers' most reliable red-zone option.

Charles Clay, Dolphins: Hasn't had more than 8 targets since Week 2. Just 13 targets in the last three games.

Jason Witten, Cowboys: New role for Jason Witten is to block for DeMarco Murray.

Jordan Cameron, Browns: A concussion will likely sideline him for a few weeks.

Fantasy Football Quick Hits: Week 8

There’s so much happening on a week to week basis in the NFL, sometimes it’s tough to step back and look at the season as a whole instead of a weekly chaotic mess that often leaves you scrambling to overcome injuries and bye weeks.

My goal for this article is to not only talk about players trending up and down based on their weekly performances, but also to give some insights on their overall outlook for the remainder of the 2014 season.

Quick reminder before getting into the Quick Hits: There’s a MILLION DOLLARS going out to the 1st place finisher in Week 8.

ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Click here to get in on the action.

Quarterbacks:

Drew Brees, Saints: Jimmy Graham isn't just "another" red-zone target, he's "THE" red-zone target and until he's back, Brees' stats will take a hit.

Russell Wilson, Seahawks: Two out of the last three weeks he's rushed over 100 yards...this guys a QB!!!

Tom Brady, Patriots: 7 TDs in his last three games, yup it's clear Brady "woke up"

Cam Newton, Panthers: Doesn't have "elite" weapons but makes the most of what he has plus 147 rushing yards his last two games.

Jay Cutler, Bears: Consistency has always been Cutler's problem and now teammate Brandon Marshall is calling him out demanding for improvement.

Matt Ryan, Falcons: Injury after injury on Atlanta's Offensive Line has Matt Ryan running for his life, problem is, Ryan can't really run/scramble.

Joe Flacco, Ravens: Posted back-to-back weeks with multi-TDs for the 1st time this year.

Andy Dalton, Bengals: Missing AJ Green is not only hurting Dalton, but their rushing attack as well.

Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins: Three straight weeks with 2 TDs and two out of three weeks with over 275 yards.

Robert Griffin III, Redskins Likely will be after the team's bye, Colt McCoy is now the starter.

Geno Smith, Jets: Gets a MUCH needed upgraded at receiver with the addition of Percy Harvin.

Teddy Bridgewater, Vikings: INTs will continue to be a problem for this rookie and destroy his fantasy points if your league has negative points for turnovers.

Kirk Cousins, Redskins: Really have to be struggling on all new levels if you get benched for Colt McCoy.

Running Backs:

Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks: Possibly the best schedule for any RB in the next 3 weeks will quickly help owners forget his 13 combined points from the last two weeks.

Giovani Bernard, Bengals: Week 7 was his unquestioned worst game of his career and he got BEAT UP but always popped back up which is a good sign the bite-sized Bernard can take a beating but play through it.

Andre Ellington, Cardinals: 33 total touches in Week 7 resulted in 160 total yards and RB1 type numbers in PPR. Expect similar stats going forward.

Justin Forsett, Ravens: Four straight weeks with 10 or more fantasy points in Non-PPR. Back-to-back weeks of 90 or more rushing yards.

Ahmad Bradshaw, Colts: Three straight weeks of TDs and may get even more work with Trent Richardson slightly banged up.

Shane Vereen, Patriots: Without Stevan Ridley, we expect Vereen to remain a Top 15 RB all year.

Joique Bell, Lions: Even with Reggie Bush back in action, it's clear Bell is the unquestioned goal-line back. TDs in two straight games.

Lamar Miller, Dolphins: No Knowshon means goo things for Miller who has one TD in back to back weeks and at  least 13 points in Non-PPR leagues in four out of five games.

Ronnie Hillman, Broncos: Doing exactly what we thought Montee Ball would be doing, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring multi TDs.

Rashad Jennings, Giants: Should be back in action once the team get back from bye in Week 9.

Alfred Morris, Redskins: Really really rough patch. Hasn't scored or gained over 60 yards since Week 4.

Chris Ivory, Jets: Expect the Jets to use Ivory as a workhorse more frequently going forward.

Reggie Bush, Lions: Ankle injury will really hinder his production considering his game is built on speed and cutting.

Trent Richardson, Colts: Hamstring injury will slow him down right at the time he was starting to string together some solid performances.

Isaiah Crowell, Browns: Great upcoming schedule and the Number 2 guy behind Tate on a run dominated team.

Knile Davis, Chiefs: Perhaps the most important handcuff to have, even after a few quiet games, he can't be dropped.

Tre Mason, Rams: Looks like a changing of the guard in the St. Louis backfield.

Steven Jackson, Falcons: Terrible offensive line isn't opening up any holes resulting in Jackson getting stuffed before he reaches the line of scrimmage.

Denard Robinson, Jaguars: MONSTER game in Week 7 with 22 carries for an impressive 127 yards and a TD.

Benny Cunningham, Rams: If Rookie Mason is going to get the carries, Cunningham is going to get the targets in the passing game.

Anthony Dixon, Bills: RBBC with Bryce Brown while Fred Jackson is out.

Bryce Brown, Bills: RBBC with Anthony Dixon while Fred Jackson is out.

Pierre Thomas, Saints: Likely out a few weeks (2-3) with a shoulder injury.

Andre Williams, Giants: Didn't take advantage of the opportunity while Jennings was sidelined with an injury.

Travaris Cadet, Saints Should see an expanded role with Pierre Thomas sidelined a few weeks.

Fred Jackson, Bills:  Expected to miss about a month with a groin injury.

Donald Brown, Chargers: Ryan Mathews coming back and Branden Oliver playing well is bas news for Brown.

Antone Smith, Falcons:  Wasn't getting enough touches to be a consistent/reliable option.

Wide Receivers

Jordy Nelson, Packers: Tearing through opponents on a weekly basis and on pace for 1,627 yards, 14 TDs, off of 107 receptions.

Calvin Johnson, Lions: Hasn't played since Week 5, hasn't had more than 10 fantasy points in Non-PPR since Week 1.

Julio Jones, Falcons: Hasn’t scored since Week 3 and has just one game with over 100 yards in his last four outings.

A.J. Green, Bengals:  Toe is reportedly getting better each day.

Golden Tate, Lions: Double digit targets and over 100 receiving yards in 3 of last 4 games.

T.Y. Hilton, Colts:  At least 5 catches in EVERY game this year, three out of last four games with over 100 yards.

Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers: Has caught a TD in four of last five games.

Pierre Garcon, Redskins: Showed some life in Week 7 for the first time since Week 3.

Andre Johnson, Texans: 8, 12, and 9 targets in last three games but only one TD.

Mike Wallace, Dolphins: On pace for 12 TDs thanks to scoring in 3 straight games.

Terrance Williams, Cowboys: Hasn't caught more than 2 passes in the last three weeks but does have 2 TDs during that span.

Sammy Watkins, Bills: Best game of his young career game in Week 7 with a major confidence booster game winning TD.

Michael Crabtree, 49ers: Just 13 catches in the last four games. AWFUL

Brian Quick, Rams: Was posting solid stats every week but that ended the last two weeks as he caught just 3 passes the last two games.

Percy Harvin, Jets: Is it possible his stick can go up despite moving from the Seahawks to the Jets? We'll see after Week 8 how Gang Green plans to utilize the talented yet troubled Harvin.

Rueben Randle, Giants: Should continue to get double digit targets every week once the Giants return from their bye.

Odell Beckham Jr., Giants: Great news for his fantasy stock with Eli looking to him in the red-zone (caught 2 TDs vs Dallas in Week 7).

Doug Baldwin, Seahawks: Now Seattle's number 1 receiver but need to keep in mind the Seahawks are a run first team.

Davante Adams, Packers:  Locked in as Aaron Rodgers Number 3 Target.

Tight Ends

Jimmy Graham, Saints: Shoulder injury may keep him active in merely a decoy type role.

Greg Olsen, Panthers: On pace to finish with the best stats of his career, three straight weeks with double digit fantasy points in Non-PPR.

Antonio Gates, Chargers: Four TDs in the last three games should come as no surprise for Philip River's favorite Red-zone target.

Jordan Reed, Redskins: Seems fully recovered from his injury should continue to get better each week.

Dwayne Allen, Colts: Not catching a lot of passes but has scored in 5 of 7 games.

Vernon Davis, 49ers:  Of the games he's been active he's scored just double digit fantasy points just ONCE in five outings.

Travis Kelce, Chiefs: Targets have taken a BIG dive since his monster night vs. the Patriots.

Charles Clay, Dolphins: Finaly found the end-zone...only took him six games.

Jermaine Gresham, Bengals: 10 catches in Week 7, perfect time to SELL HIGH.

Gavin Escobar, Cowboys: Has more TDs in one game than Jason Witten does all year.

Have fun and good luck in Week 8.

Fantasy Football Week 7 Quick Hits: Thoughts From The Champs

There’s so much happening on a week to week basis in the NFL, sometimes it’s tough to step back and look at the season as a whole instead of a weekly chaotic mess that often leaves you scrambling to overcome injuries and bye weeks.

My goal for this article is to not only talk about players trending up and down based on their weekly performances, but also to give some insights on their overall outlook for the 2014 season. Plus, I love putting photos of cheerleaders in my article for no apparent reason other than it’s fun and valuable eye candy…

Quick reminder before getting into the Quick Hits: There’s a MILLION DOLLARS going out to the 1st place finisher in Week 7.

ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Click here to get in on the action.

Quarterbacks

Philip Rivers, Chargers: 3 Straight games with 3 TDs. LOVE IT

Jay Cutler, Bears: Marshall is healthy and his weapons are performing at a very high level.

Tony Romo, Cowboys: DeMarco Murray is opening things up for the passing game and it's helping his stats in a big way. Upcoming schedule is a CAKE WALK with Giants, Redskins, Cardinals, and Jaguars all before the bye.

Cam Newton, Panthers: His ankle is healthy and he's starting to make plays with his feet again.

Tom Brady, Patriots: He makes Brandon LaFell look like a Pro Bowler and Gronk is getting healthier by the day.

Russell Wilson, Seahawks: The passing game is struggling a bit but Wilson is still making plays with his feet to make up for lack of passing stats.

Eli Manning, Giants: Losing Victor Cruz is a MAJOR blow to their aerial attack.

Kirk Cousins, Redskins: RG3 will be the starter once healthy.

Joe Flacco, Ravens: 5 TDs in one game will boost his season stats, hopefully he'll continue to add multi-TDs per week on a regular basis.

Carson Palmer, Cardinals: Shoulder looked fine in Week 6, cross your fingers if you are rolling with Fitz or Floyd as your WR.

Brian Hoyer, Browns:   Browns rely on the rushing attack but Hoyer is a solid bye week replacement.

Austin Davis, Rams: Tough slate of games with the Seahawks, Chiefs, 49ers the next 3 weeks.

Derek Carr, Raiders: Looked good coming out of the bye week, even if they don't win, Carr will get decent garbage points.

Geno Smith, Jets: Fair to say he's the worst QB in fantasy among any starting QB or just the worst receiving corps??

Running Backs

LeSean McCoy, Eagles: Finally woke up and showed off that big play ability we knew he was capable of making. Bye Week and then locked in your lineup the rest of the year.

Arian Foster, Texans: Stay Healthy. Stay Healthy. Stay Healthy.

Gio Bernard, Bengals: Busting out big runs, getting into the end-zone

Eddie Lacy, Packers: Doesn't have a tough match-up until Week 15 now only if he'll produce like we saw against the Vikings.

Alfred Morris, Redskins: Couple of easy match-ups should help turn things around for Alf.

Justin Forsett, Ravens: Likely one of the best free agent pickups of the year.

Shane Vereen, Patriots: Will get more carries with Ridley gone for the season.

Ben Tate, Browns: Browns are a run 1st offense and he'll be their lead back barring injury.

Branden Oliver, Chargers: Will remain the sole RB in the Chargers backfield for the foreseeable future.

Rashad Jennings, Giants: Expected back after the team's Week 8 bye.

Darren Sproles, Eagles: Sprained MCL could force him to miss one game after the bye week.

Lamar Miller, Dolphins: Will see more carries with Knowshon Moreno out for the year.

Ronnie Hillman, Broncos: Broncos didn't run the ball more than 20 times when Ball was healthy, gave Hillman 24 carries in Week 6.

Jeremy Hill, Bengals: Bengals will use the rookie often as they focus on the rushing attack while A.J. Green is out.

Isaiah Crowell, Browns: Terrific upcoming schedule, moved past Terrance West on the depth chart.

Antone Smith, Falcons: Hopefully the Falcons wake up and start to give him more touches.

Jerick McKinnon, Vikings: Pass protection issues may have cost him a real shot of completely taking over their backfield.

Zac Stacy, Rams:  Tre Mason looked like the best Rams RB in Week 6 which is BAD news for Stacy.

Bishop Sankey, Titans: The Titans are being very cautious with giving him a full workload.

Chris Johnson, Jets: Ivory not only beat him out for the starting job but has out-shined him in every aspect of the game.

Wide Receivers:

Jordy Nelson, Packers: Not just consistent, but consistent for 100 yards and a TD every week.

Dez Bryant, Cowboys: Just one game this season with over 100 yards.

Brandon Marshall, Bears:  Ankle injury is a thing of the past.

A.J. Green, Bengals: Toe injury is frustrating the Bengals and Fantasy managers

Randall Cobb, Packers: Finding the end-zone on a weekly basis is keeping Fantasy Managers happy.

Steve Smith, Ravens: 4 games with over 100 yards.

T.Y. Hilton, Colts: Not just a big play, boom or bust player. At least 5 catches in every game this year.

Julian Edelman, Patriots: In the PPR format, Edelman is a top notch WR2.

Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers: One of two targets for Cam in the passing game results in a lot of red-zone targets and thus TDs.

Pierre Garcon, Redskins: 3 weeks in a row with less than 35 yards.

Michael Floyd, Cardinals:  Will get consistent stats as long as Carson Palmer is under center.

Mike Wallace, Dolphins: 4 TDs in 5 games is nothing to sneeze at.

Mohamed Sanu, Bengals: Taking advantage of the extra targets while AJ Green is out.

Keenan Allen, Chargers: Sophomore Slump in a BIG BIG way.

Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals: Good trade value now after his big game in Week 6.

Rueben Randle, Giants:  Cruz is out and now Randle is Eli's main target.

Mike Evans, Bucs: Came back early from the groin injury and will be 100% after the bye week.

Odell Beckham JR: Giants  Thrown into the starting lineup with Cruz out for the year.

Wes Welker, Broncos: 4th option in the Broncos passing attack.

Torrey Smith, Ravens: Woke up in a big way in Week 6, hopefully keeps it going.

Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings: Can't get open. Possibly not healthy. Coaches calling him out to the media. NOT GOOD.

Malcom Floyd, Chargers: Big play threat for one of the league's best offenses.

Andre Holmes, Raiders: Terrific upcoming schedule and should get tons of garbage time action.

Tight Ends

Julius Thomas, Broncos: On pace for an INSANE 29 TDs.

Jimmy Graham, Saints: Likely will miss at least one game with the shoulder injury.

Jordan Cameron, Browns: The number 1 weapon in the Browns passing attack.

Jordan Reed, Redskins: Looked healthy and showed off the talent in Week 6 that made in a consensus preseason Top 10 TE.

Larry Donnell, Giants: Should see some more targets with Victor Cruz out of the lineup.

Clay Harbor, Jaguars: Turning into a decent PPR option and bye week replacement.

Timothy Wright, Patriots:  Just not getting enough targets or time on the field right now even though he's scoring TDs.

Fantasy Football Week 5 Quick Hits: Thoughts From The Champs

There’s so much happening on a week to week basis in the NFL, sometimes it’s tough to step back and look at the season as a whole instead of a weekly chaotic mess that often leaves you scrambling to overcome injuries and bye weeks.

My goal for this article is to not only talk about players trending up and down based on their weekly performances, but also to give some insights on their overall outlook for the 2014 season.

Quick reminder before getting into the Quick Hits: There’s a MILLION DOLLARS going out to the 1st place finisher in Week 5.

ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Click here to get in on the action.

Quarterbacks

Andrew Luck, Colts: Luck is on pace to throw for 52 TDs this year...will he get there? Probably not, but at least 40 is more than likely.

Drew Brees, Saints: When he plays on the road, he and his Offense just aren't the same.

Philip Rivers, Chargers: On pace for 4,620 yards and 36 TDs and he may even exceed that mark.

Nick Foles, Eagles: One bad game against a good defense, giving him a pass.

Tony Romo, Cowboys: Throwing motion looked much improved as back continues to get better.

Kirk Cousins, Redskins:  Tough upcoming schedule but we still believe in this Offense.

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers: Having Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell is raising the floor for Big Ben.

Eli Manning, Giants: Offense is clicking and Eli is getting the ball into the end-zone.

Tom Brady, Patriots: Looked awful vs. Chiefs but the Pats always start slow and just when you think their reign is over, they come out and TOTALLY REDEEM THEMSELVES. But that’s much more regarding REAL football and not Fantasy…

Teddy Bridgewater, Vikings: Hoping his ankle injury won't linger.

Mike Glennon, Buccaneers: Looked good in 1st start of 2014 and may not relinquish role back to Josh McKown even when he gets healthy.

Kyle Orton, Bills: Named the Bills starter and should hold onto the job. No team pays a back $5 million.

Jake Locker, Titans: Wrist injury and inaccuracy will keep him out of the Top 25 for QBs.

Geno Smith, Jets:  Fans are demanding a change at QB but Rex still says Geno is their guy.

Running Backs:

LeSean McCoy, Eagles:  Lane Johnson's back from suspension and he'll help open up more running lades for Shady.

Jamaal Charles, Chiefs: Looked fantastic vs. Patriots (1st game back since ankle injury).

DeMarco Murray, Cowboys: 4 straight games of over 100 yards and a TD. Best RB in the league heading into Week 5.

Rashad Jennings, Giants: Very quietly on pace to finish 3rd in yards.

Eddie Lacy, Packers: Finally got into the end-zone but still hasn't look very good running the ball.

Frank Gore, 49ers: Gore demanded more action and he performed real well once given the opportunity. Expect the 49ers to continue to ride their RB Vet.

Arian Foster, Texans: A nagging hamstring injury will leave you guessing if he's going to be active and then if he's active, leave you questioning how much action he'll get. HEADACHE!!!

Lamar Miller, Dolphins: Knowshon won't be back for a few more weeks, in the meantime, Miller is taking advantage of the bigger workload.

Darren Sproles, Eagles: Just isn't touching the ball enough on Offense. Solid if you get points for Special Teams production, otherwise can be VERY shaky.

Knile Davis, Chiefs: Even with Jamaal Charles back in action, Davis was able to rush for over 100 yards. Good to see they can co-exist and still produce.

Shane Vereen, Patriots: Isn't getting the targets or the touches to be considered anything more than a Flex in PPR.

Jeremy Hill, Bengals: Back from Bye and the Bengals will pound the rock the rest of the year.

Matt Asiata, Vikings: McKinnon is getting all the hype, but keep in mind Asiata is the better pass protector and receiver out of the backfield.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, Ravens: Took over in the RBBC with Justin Forsett because Bernard Pierce just can't stay healthy.

Bishop Sankey, Titans: Great upcoming schedule and starting to see the phase out of Shonn Greene.

Jerick McKinnon, Vikings: Love the explosiveness he showed off in Week 4, hopefully his ankle injury doesn't linger.

Isaiah Crowell, Brons: Will remain the change of pace RB even when Ben Tate comes back.

Alfred Blue, Texans: Will see extended action while Arian Foster is hurt.

Steven Jackson, Falcons: Jackson may be the starter by definition, but there's 4 RBs in this backfield that split carries.

Terrance West, Browns: Pushed down the depth chart with the return of Ben Tate.

Andre Williams, Giants: Tremendous upcoming schedule and the team will use him to give Rashad Jennings rest.

Shonn Greene, Titans: The transition to Bishop Sankey is already taking place.

Lance Dunbar, Cowboys: Very limited role right now because DeMarco is running so well, but Coaches keeping him involved.

Mark Ingram, Saints: Targeting a Week 7 return.

Knowshon Moreno, Dolphins: Expected back in about another month.

Antone Smith, Falcons: Seems to bust our at least one BIG run every week, just not getting enough carries to be consistent.

Fozzy Whittaker, Panthers: Will join Reaves in the Panthers backfield while DeAngelo Williams is out.

Darrin Reaves, Panthes: Will join Whittaker in the Panthers backfield.

Wide Receiver:

Antonio Brown, Steelers: Puts in absolutely incredible stats every single week.

Jordy Nelson, Packers: On pace to lead the league in receiving yards.

Alshon Jeffery, Bears: Whether Marshall's hurt or not, Jeffery still gets his

Randall Cobb, Packers: Even with Jordy playing so well, Cobb is nearly just as good.

Pierre Garcon, Redskins: Tough Week 4 and tough match-up in Week 5, but when it's all said and done, he'll still be the leading receiver on the Redskins.

Steve Smith, Ravens: Just too bad he can't play his former team every week.

Keenan Allen, Chargers: Groin injury seems like a thing of the past and will now transform back into Rivers' Number 1 receiver.

Victor Cruz, Giants: Showing great chemistry with Eli and has gone over 100 yards in back to back games.

Golden Tate, Lions: In Detroit's high octane offense, Tate is a must start every week.

Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers: The rookie may end up as a Top 20 WR if he keeps performing in October and November like he did in September.

Terrance Williams, Cowboys: With teams double teaming Dez, Williams is burning the single coverage.

Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings: Clearly the best offensive weapon on the Vikings just isn't getting the ball enough.

Brandin Cooks, Saints: Needs more targets, especially in the Red-Zone, problem is...that's Jimmy Graham territory.

Eddie Royal, Chargers: 4 TDs in 2 games is great, but don't let it trick you into thinking it is a trend.

DeSean Jackson, Redskins: Stat line is too reliant on the big play TD.

Eric Decker, Jets: Shaky QB play will be his downfall in 2014, not the lingering hamstring injury.

Mohamed Sanu, Bengals: Will see less targets now that Marvin Jones is back.

Marvin Jones, Bengals: Was expected back from injury in Week 5 but then he tweaked his ankle in practice. Poor guy can catch a ball but can't catch a break from the injury bug.

Mike Evans, Bucs: Out 2-3 weeks with a groin injury.

Justin Hunter, Titans: He's getting a lot of targets but just not catching the ball. To be fair, some of the targets are absolutely UNCATCHABLE

Cecil Shorts, Jaguars: Weaker hamstring than a baby deer.

John Brown, Cardinals: Cardinals are getting creative and figuring how to get him the ball.

Odell Beckham, Giants: Expected to make his NFL Debut in Week 5.

Kenbrell Thompkins, Patriots: Not worth a roster spot since the Pats make him a healthy scratch every other week.

Aaron Dobson, Patriots: Not worth a roster spot since the Pats make him a healthy scratch every other week.

Tight Ends

Julius Thomas, Broncos: Back from his bye and ready to ROCK OUT in your starting lineup the rest of the year.

Martellus Bennett, Bears: At least one TD in every game or goes for surpassed 100 yards. Off to an incredible start.

Delanie Walker, Titans: 28 targets the last 3 games and found the end-zone in first 3 out of 4 games.

Larry Donnell, Giants: Eli's new favorite Red Zone target is 6'6 and has great hands.

Travis Kelce, Chiefs: Targets and receptions doubled from Week 3 to Week 4, that's called taking a step in the right direction.

Vernon Davis, 49ers: First he had a knee injury. Then he had an ankle injury. Now he has a back injury. That's precisely a different injury for each game so far.

Zach Ertz, Eagles: Not getting enough targets to provide stability. Roller Coast stats aren't good for fantasy lineups.

Antonio Gates, Chargers: Outside of a 3 TD game, Gates has been very pedestrian.

Niles Paul, Redskins: Nasty concussion in Week 4 may keep him out for a while.

Dwayne Allen, Colts: Getting into the end-zone unfortunately will not be an every week thing.

Coby Fleener, Colts: Getting into the end-zone unfortunately will not be an every week thing.

Eric Ebron, Lions: Slowly getting more involved in the Offense.
