FN's 'Monday Morning Huddle': Broncos D Shines on Manning's Night
Football Nation proudly presents its 19th episode of "Monday Morning Huddle" with host Dave Holcomb. Week 7 saw some more great NFL action with most of it centered around the AFC West. Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre's passing touchdown record against the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Even though the record grabs all the headlines, the Broncos are the best team in the league because of its defense. Denver held San Francisco to just 62 yards on the ground and sacked Colin Kaepernick six times. The Chiefs edged the Chargers in San Diego with the same "stop the run" formula. Even at 3-3, Kansas City is a team to be reckoned with in the second half. San Diego and Denver square off on Thursday night. DeMarco Murray ran for 100 yards again as the Cowboys won its sixth straight game, but in the second segment, Holcomb argues it was Tony Romo who led the way on offense in Week 7. In the 'Fourth and Long' segment, Holcomb talks about what is wrong with the Seattle Seahawks, the controversial last play from Thursday night's game and who is the team to beat in the AFC North. All that and more in this edition of Monday Morning Huddle.
