Atlanta Falcons: Top 3 Free Agents To Target This Offseason
The Atlanta Falcons had one of the oddest seasons in the NFL in 2014.
Following a 56-14 win over Tampa Bay early in the season, the team lost its way and could not win for five weeks. The season saw an offense that could move the ball while the defense gave away too many points. And through all of it, the team, that finished 6-10 for the year, was still in the playoff hunt until the last game of the season.
The firing of head coach Mike Smith coupled with the fledgling defensive effort is still a cause for concern for this franchise, team owner Arthur Blank and general manager Thomas Dimitroff.
There could still be firings within the staff and organization and at this point, no one on the staff appears to be safe.
Stay tuned for more on that.
In the meantime, the Falcons have many holes to fill on the defense and depth on offense. The team may look to the NFL Draft to find a solid pass rusher or use the free agency period to find help at defensive end. And that is just the start of their issues.
Here is a look at three free agents the team should look to sign in the offseason.
