Five Players Who Should Retire After This Season... But Won't

Retirement comes at different times for professional athletes.  Some retire and are able to come back repeatedly, but football players are generally not as fortunate.  Football is a young man's sport and the violent physical nature of the game causes its participants to age quickly and lose their skills at an earlier age.  Some players retire when the punishment and health risks outweigh the benefits, while others are simply no longer sought after strictly based on performance and merit, and are forced into retirement.  A few players are able to hang on past the expected shelf life of their skill level, and those will be highlighted in this article.  Whether from a purist fan or fantasy perspective, these players need to just leave football quietly and pursue other endeavors.
