Fantasy Football Impact: Percy Harvin Traded To The Jets

Happy Friday. We have some breaking news that will likely be a shock. The Seattle Seahawks have traded Percy Harvin to the New York Jets in exchange for a conditional draft pick. More details regarding this trade have yet to be released but initial reports indicate Harvin was somewhat of a troubled player and not "Seahawks Material" for their locker-room. The Jets are DESPERATE for playmakers, especially in their passing attack, so some may argue his value will go UP now that he's with a team who will use him more. Fact remains, Geno Smith is a very inaccurate QB and the Jets typically don't get very creative with their play-calling. For now we are going to keep Harvin around the 30-35 range on our ROTW.

Problem for Week 7 is the fact the Jets already played (lost to the Patriots on Thursday night). Since Harvin is now on the Jets, technically his team already played this week, and thus cannot be used in your lineups. REMOVE HIM IMMEDIATELY. We listed Harvin as OUT on the FFCPI and put him on the bottom of the rankings.

What does this do for the Seahawks? Well for starters we bumped Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse up a bit on the FFCPI. Baldwin will now be the Seahawks Number 1 WR, but keep in mind Seattle is a run first team.
