New York Giants: Three New Year's Resolutions For 2015

The New York Giants had an up-and-down year in 2014. Despite the emergence of potential superstar Odell Beckham Jr., who was recently confirmed to make his first Pro Bowl, the Giants finished with a medicore 6-10 record. While their season has resulted in a Top 10 pick in the approaching draft, Giant fans are not content and neither is ownership. The Giants strive to be a winning football program and as President and CEO John Mara said at the end of year press conference, finishing 6-10 was "an embarrassment."

Embarrassing may not even be a harsh enough word when you consider the teams that the Giants beat this season include the liks of the Houston Texans (9-7), Washington Redskins (4-12) twice, the Atlanta Flacons (6-10), The Tennessee Titans (2-14), and the St. Louis Rams (6-10). All five teams were similarly wrecked with injuries and also finished in the bottom of the league.

To save face, and become more competetive he Giants have begun a process of rebuilding their organization and reputation. The first domino to fall was the recent departure of five-year Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell. As we move further into 2015, the Giants will look to settle the franchise with an emphasis on defense this offseason.
