2015 NFL Schedule:The Top 5 Sunday Night Football Games

With the release of the NFL schedule, fans across the world are starting to get football fever. Sunday Night Football has been known to having the most anticipated matchups of the season. The NFL has done a fantastic job scheduling games between divisional rivals and games with meaningful stories to them. There are a number of great Sunday Night Football games this year, but here are the game that fans must not miss.

 

5. DEC. 27. WEEK 16. PITTSBURGH STEELERS @ BALTIMORE RAVENS.

This matchup could be for the crown of the AFC North, and there is no love lost between these two divisional rivals. Both squads are coming into this seasons as many experts’ favorites to win the division, and fans can expect a physical matchup. Leading into week 16, Pittsburgh will be coming off a four game stretch of matchups against Seattle, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Denver. Baltimore has won the last four out of six against Pittsburgh at home during the regular season. Expect the stakes to be high in this Sunday Night matchup. The winner just might be taking home the AFC North Division.

4. DEC 13. WEEK 14. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS @ BALTIMORE RAVENS

If you love defensive games, this is your game to circle. Both of these squads will be battling for their division, and a win will be pivotal to stay on top. Baltimore will be coming off of a four game stretch of matchups against Jacksonville, St. Louis, Cleveland and Miami. There is a high percentage that they will be coming into this game with a lot of momentum. A win against Seattle would be huge leading up to the week 16 battle against Pittsburgh.

3. DEC 13. WEEK 12. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS @ DENVER BRONCOS

Brady vs Manning. NFL fans have been blessed to see these two future Hall of Famers battle it out 16 times. Brady leads the series 11-5, and leads the Patriots-Broncos series 3-1. This past season Brady added another Vince Lombardi Trophy to his collection. Brady vs Manning is always an intriguing matchup, but their at the point in their careers where NFL fans have to wonder if this could be the last time we see these two battle it out against one another.  Sit back and enjoy every second of this game because it could be historical.

2. SEPT 20. WEEK 2. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS @ GREEN BAY PACKERS

Green Bay fans haven’t forgotten what happen in last year’s NFC Championship Game. They were minutes away from playing in Super Bowl XLIX when Seattle made a rally and won in overtime. Green Bay blew a 12 point lead in the 4th quarter, and Russell Wilson threw an amazing pass to Jermaine Kearse to seal the win to send Seattle to Glendale. Both teams are coming into this season with both ending their season last year in dramatic fashion. Green Bay will be looking for revenge, but Seattle will be looking to jump out to a quick start to avenge last year’s Super Bowl loss.

1. NOV 8. WEEK 9. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES @ DALLAS COWBOYS

A year after DeMarco Murray set a Cowboys franchise record for rushing yards in a single season, he will be suiting up for the Cowboy’s rival. Last year Murray led the NFL in rushing yards with 1,845 rushing yards. This past off-season Murray signed a five year contract worth up to $42 million with the Eagles. This matchup is considered one of the best rivalries in the NFL, and Murray will be coming into Dallas looking to make a statement. This will be the final matchup of the season between the two, and both are looking to take home the NFC East Division. This will be the most anticipated Sunday Night Football Game of the season.
