2015 NFL Power Rankings Week 6 (updated)

The fifth week of the 2015 season is in the books, and even though there is a long, long way to go, it is never too early for some NFL Power Rankings.

Five games might not seem like much, but the sample size is just big enough to make a few judgements on teams. The Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and New York Giants made the biggest jump this week. All three teams each moved up five spots, but the Browns and Bears are still outside the top 20 while the Giants advanced into the Top 10.

The Detroit Lions, who are the only winless team left in the league, made the biggest drop, falling nine spots.

Keep in mind that the rankings are serious but the comments are generally not. Let's be real, after reading lots and lots of serious football articles breaking down every little detail, fans could use a good laugh.

Without further ado, here are Football Nation's NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 6.

1. New England Patriots (4-0)

Even Tom Brady haters were rooting for him over Greg Hardy on Sunday.

2. Green Bay Packers (5-0)

Three turnovers for Aaron Rodgers versus the Rams?? He's human!!

3. Cincinnati Bengals (5-0)

The last time the Bengals were 5-0, Ronald Reagan was President

4. Denver Broncos (5-0)

Who is that playing quarterback in Peyton Manning's body?

5. Arizona Cardinals (4-1)

Cardinals fans be like "Why can't we play the Seahawks now instead of when they are peaking at the end of the season?" Atlanta Falcons (5-0)

6. Atlanta Falcons (5-0)

Tevin who? Devonta Freeman is the man in Atlanta.

7. Carolina Panthers (4-0)

The same goes for the Carolina Panthers.

8. New York Jets (3-1)
Things are good when you move up in the power rankings and don’t even play.
 9. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2)

Hey wouldn't you know? The Steelers didn't leave it up to a kick and won.

10. New York Giants (3-2)

Larry Donnell doing his best David Tyree impression.
11. Buffalo Bills (3-2)

Was there no discipline in the Ryan household? The Bills average nearly 11 penalties per game.
12. St. Louis Rams (2-3)

If you don't succeed, try, try again. Jeff Fisher tried three field goals from 50+ yards on Sunday versus the Green Bay Packers, and Greg Zuerlein missed all three.
13. Seattle Seahawks (2-3)

No referee bailing the Seahawks out this week.
14. Indianapolis Colts (3-2)

I take back everything I said about your performance, Mr. Luck. Please come back and help my fantasy team!
15. Minnesota Vikings (2-2)

Nice camera work.
16. San Diego Chargers (2-3)

Does anyone lose in worse ways than the Chargers?? Lions fans say yes, but still.
17. Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)

The Eagles want to bring Chase Utley back to Philadelphia to play defense.
18. Dallas Cowboys (2-3)

Tony Romo playing with a broken collar bone might be better than Brandon Weeden.
19. Oakland Raiders (2-3)

Is Marcel Reese the only fullback left in the league?
20. Washington (2-3) 20
Washington played a very physical game against Atlanta on Sunday, but obviously not as physical as Chase Utley's slide.
21. Kansas City Chiefs (1-4)

Sunday was not a good day for Kansas City sports.
22. Cleveland Browns (2-3)

Who the heck is Gary Barnidge?
23. Baltimore Ravens (1-4)

No Josh Scobee to bail out the Ravens this week.
24. Houston Texans (1-4)

Imagine if DeAndre Hopkins had a real quarterback throwing him passes.
25. San Francisco 49ers (1-4)

Hey Colin, you might want to check the differential between the game clock and play clock before calling a timeout.
26. Chicago Bears (2-3)

Was that really Jay Cutler leading the Bears to a last minute victory on Sunday?
27. Tennessee Titans (1-3)

The Tennessee Volunteers didn't blow a lead on Saturday, so it was only natural for the other big Tennessee football team to do so.
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3)

Woah, two wins!
29. Miami Dolphins (1-3)

Things have to be bad to fall three spots in the power rankings in a week where you don't even play.
30. Detroit Lions (0-5)

Megatron isn't doing much this season. Maybe we should change his nickname to bumblebee?
31. New Orleans Saints (1-4)

It doesn't help when your defenders tackle each other.
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4)

The Jaguars and Buccaneers game was surprisingly entertaining, but it still hurt my eyes. The uniforms for both teams are quite ugly.

2015 NFL Draft: 7 Picks Destined For EPIC Fail

How do we define epic fail?  JaMarcus Russell epic fail.  Ryan Leaf epic fail.  Tim Tebow epic fail?  First round choice who lasted one mediocre year in the NFL.  But he did win a playoff game.  So epic fail?  And what about what Washington?  What they gave up for quarterback Robert Griffin III?  Can that count as an epic fail?

So players can be an epic fail.  But so can organziations.

Now it is time to pre-judge this year's acquisitons.  Most fails are a first round choice.  Make sense because if you are drafted that early you are expected to produce.  First off lets dispense with those rookies who have suffered injuries before they got on the field.  So Dante Fowler Jr. gets a pass.  Let's face it without the injury he would have been a player.

So let the judging begin.

7.  Pick 27: Byron Jones, CB, Cowboys:  There is no doubt that Jones is an athletic freak.  Look at his combine stats.  But his game film is spotty.  Besides, the Cowboys needed a reliable running back after giving up last year's best at the position.  So fail for both.

6.  Pick 25: Shaq Thompson, OLB, Panthers: Again another pick that ignored their need.  Hello....Cam Newton needs an offensive wall that can equal his standards. This is more of a fail for the organization than player. FAIL.

5.  Pick 18: Marcus Peters, CB, Chiefs: Dear Chiefs, You realize not one of your wide receivers had a touchdown reception last year?  Peters is good.  No question.  He also was tossed from Washington for "issues".  No question.  First round good with second round character issues.  And yeah wide receiver needs.

4.  Pick 10: Todd Gurley, RB, Rams: Is it wrong for me to say I hope this is so wrong.  But Gurley is coming off a devastating injury.  He couldn't participate in the NFL Combine.  And the Rams picked him up in the first round.  Again Gurley is good.  And this pick will be the steal of the draft if he can stay healthy.  IF?

3.  Pick 5: Brandon Scherff, OG, Washington: Washington is working to become the team defined by dysfunction.  Their star quarterback is questionable.  Their offense is underachieving.  And they had a top five pick.  Sexy pick, no.  Helpful pick?  I dunno.

2.  Pick 40: Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Titans:  Again no question regarding his athletic ability.  But who is going to throw him the ball?  Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota?  Or in this corner the fighter Zach Mettenberger?  And what offense will the Titans run this season?  Frustrated much?

1.  Pick 2: Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans: It's them not you. In the right system, are you listening Philadelphia Eagles, he could excel.  Unfortunately, this is not the right system.  So the question is will Ken Wisenhunt adjust his system to Mariota's skill set?  He didn't do much adjusting last year.  And the offense languished in the bottom third in every category.  So sorry Marcus, it's them not you.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Biggest Questions Heading Into OTAs

I know everything seems to be on the rise here in Jacksonville and the team that has been a bottom feeder for the better part of the last five seasons is on the rise.

But truthfully, until the wins outnumber the losses, the team that seems to be reaching for a level playing field will be grasping for respect here in the NFL.

Next week begins another chapter in the rebuilding process of the Jaguars. OTAs will give fans their first true glimpse at the roster. It will also give the media another shot at seeing a rebuilding project that is pretty close to completion.

Again, wins take care of questions. Losses continue to cast doubt.

These are the major questions the Jaguars face heading into OTAs.

HOW WILL BLAKE BORTLES LOOK?

The offseason has been good to Blake Bortles.

A learner look, a passing camp attended by fellow Jaguars players and new toys to play with on offense. The team wants Bortles to take that natural step of progression from year one to year two, but there are still questions about the offense. With a better line in front of him and a better running game behind him, Bortles now has a better opportunity to prove he can be a Ben Roethlisberger-like player the team envisioned.

WILL THE OFFENSIVE LINE BE BETTER?

It has to be. There was so much thought put into who the team wanted to sign in the offseason. David Caldwell and Gus Bradley started by targeting Jermey Parnell and then waited on Stefen Wisnewski. With the solid play by Brandon Linder and the hope that both Zane Beadles and Luke Joeckel can play better on the left side, the thought is this could be a team strength in 2015.

With the free agent signings and the Draft which brought the team AJ Cann, there is more depth when you add Austin Pasztor and Luke Bowanko to the mix.

Like I said, it has to be better than it was last season.

WHAT ROLES DOES MARCEDES LEWIS NOW PLAY?

The Jaguars look like they will start the season with a two tight end set, which means no fullback will be used. This is a good thing for Lewis, who is still regarded as one of the better blocking tight ends in the game.

While Lewis will see his targets diminish this season, having two tight ends on the field at the same time will certainly make things interesting for the Jaguars and their offense. How will working with Julius Thomas make Lewis a better player? How will Lewis be used in the red zone?

I see a change in the Jaguars’ offense to more of a smash-mouth running attack as well. Having an extra blocker on the line means there is more opportunity at the goal line for scoring, which we all know this team needs more of.

Personally, I think Lewis will excel in his new role with the team.

WHO FILLS THE LEO ROLE AT LINEBACKER?

The Jaguars have been dealt a big blow now that Dante Fowler is no longer in the mix for 2015. The plan was to use him at LEO as the designated pass rusher, which is something this team has lacked. Despite the defense finishing sixth in the league in sacks, there were many players who got in on the action, with Sen’Derrick Marks leading the team with 8.5.

Look for the team to ask Andre Branch to finally step forward and show why he was a second round pick in 2012. The team also likes what it sees in Ryan Davis. There will be plenty of sacks this season, but there needs to be one player who is a game changer.

Who will that player be?

CAN THIS RUNNING GAME FINALLY TAKE OFF?

We all hope so. TJ Yeldon wasn’t brought in to sit on the bench. Look for the rookie to make a strong case to start this season.

And we should not count out Denard Robinson just yet. Robinson led the team in rushing last season, but is not the type of back who can tote the ball 250 times a year. He should be the change of pace back who can spell Yeldon. I don’t think the team gives up on him, but since they drafted a runner in the second round, the Jaguars sent a message to the unit they were not happy with the output in 2014.

WHICH WIDE RECEIVER HAS A BREAK OUT CAMP?

The Jaguars are hoping any one of the three second-year players – Allen Robinson, Marquise Lee or Allen Hurns – becomes the go-to guy for Blake Bortles. Remember, too, that Julius Thomas will see many balls thrown his way as well.

I think Robinson will be the player most likely to excel first, but don’t count out Lee, a player who had a rough start to his rookie season, only to show flashes of greatness at the end of the season.

The Jaguars are in good position to confuse defenses and light up secondaries with the team’s size and speed at the position.

Jacksonville Jaguars: 5 Players Who Will Make An Impact In 2015

I avoid the obvious choices in most cases. We all know the Jacksonville Jaguars are a team that must have a solid 2015 season. With free agent moves and a recent Draft which still has analysts and locals here talking, this has to be the year the Jaguars move up the NFL food chain. Seven wins would be considered a success. Nine wins would be outstanding and anything more would be winning the lottery.

There is enough talent and potential here to finally start talking like that.

David Caldwell and Gus Bradley has stuck to a game plan and blueprint which has people talking in NFL circles. Is this a feared team in 2015? We don’t know the answer to that quite yet. But this is a franchise that likes to “Believe in Victory” as Bradley has chanted in his post-game dances. There have not been too many of those of late.

Here is hoping the team has a chance to see Bradley dance a little more this year and these players will have the impact on the franchise to see that through.

Fantasy Football: Top 20 Tight Ends for 2015

With my wide receiver rankings released over the weekend, let's move on to fantasy football's thinnest position -- tight end.

Spoiler alert: Rob Gronkowski is first.

Not only is he the top guy at his position, but Gronkowski may go in the first round of some drafts this year. It's probably deserved, considering how much of an advantage he gives you over every other tight end in the league. Gronkowski outscored Antonio Gates, 2014's No. 2 tight end, by 30 points.

The only thing that's held him back in his career have been injuries. As of now, there are no injury blips on the radar.

We did learn on Monday of a new hiccup -- Tom Brady is suspended for four games. It may be reduced if he appeals, but even if that happens, it's unlikely to be less than two-game ban. Obviously, this affects every New England skill-position player.

Is it enough to knock Gronkowski off the tight end throne?

If Brady really misses four games, that's a tough one, but I still think he still warrants the No. 1 spot. Remember: Gronk was hobbled early on last year. He didn't have over 45 yards in a game until Week 5, and he still finished with a sparkling line of 82-1,124-12.

Even if Jimmy Garoppolo is completely unready and plays terribly, Gronkowski will still put up decent numbers in those first four games. The Steelers, Jaguars and Cowboys -- three of the Patriots first four opponents -- were all among the bottom third of the league in defensive passing yards allowed per game.

After Gronkowski and No. 2 tight end Jimmy Graham, no one else should be taken in the first four rounds.

Like I said in the receiver rankings, it's dangerous to do any sort of rankings this early. There is still a lot of offseason left. There will be injuries, training camp, preseason games (and suspensions!) -- all of which can affect a player's value. Things will certainly change in the coming months.

These rankings are for standard scoring leagues, not PPR leagues.

1. Rob Gronkowski -- I already covered him pretty well. So let's watch him destroy Sergio Brown of the Colts last year. It's just another reason why he should be your favorite player.

2. Jimmy Graham -- Will be interesting to see in Seattle. Russell Wilson's first elite pass-game weapon. The trade officially starts the transformation of the Seahawks from Marshawn Lynch's offense to Russell Wilson's after they tried and failed to do it on their last play of 2014.

3. Travis Kelce -- The talent is extremely enticing. In his second year, Kelce posted 67-862-5, finishing eighth at the position. Ability to shed tacklers after the catch is, dare I say, a little Gronk-ish. Addition of Jeremy Maclin should force defenses to actually gameplan for a receiver this season.

4. Greg Olsen -- Has quietly been one of the most consistently productive tight ends in football over the last three seasons. Three straight top-10 finishes, two of which were inside the top five. Set career marks in yardage (by nearly 200) and catches in '14.

5. Martellus Bennett -- Similar to Olsen, been a top-12 tight end for three consecutive years, including fifth last season. Departure of Brandon Marshall frees up more targets. Four touchdowns in first three weeks, finished with six. Ended the year 11th in the NFL, first among tight ends, in receptions (90). Caught 70 percent of targets.

6. Antonio Gates -- Just keeps producing. No. 2 tight end in '14. With 12 scores, tied Julius Thomas and Gronkowski for most touchdowns by a tight end. He will eventually disappear, but I'm not betting on it being this season.

7. Julius Thomas -- Tough guy to rank. Going from an elite quarterback to possibly the worst in the league. Initially wanted to put lower due to his extreme dependency on touchdowns in Denver. Never had more than 65 grabs or 800 yards in a season. Only caught 43 balls for 489 in '14 (13 games) but had 12 touchdowns. Assuming he will be Blake Bortles's top red-zone weapon.

8. Jason Witten -- Last season continued his decline from his monster 2012. Finished with 64-703-5. Expecting about the same line this season. Could be a nice value pick if others target possible breakout guys lower on the list.

9. Zach Ertz -- Epitome of a post-hype sleeper. Better than you think last year, amassing 58 catches for 702 yards. Jeremy Maclin and Lesean McCoy free up 180 targets. May be unleashed in '15.

10. Dwayne Allen -- Mediocre 12-game season (29-395) propped up by touchdowns (eight). Coby Fleener was considerably more productive. Touchdowns are too random to rely on, especially with all the mouths to feed in Indy. Two-TE scheme diminishes both. Don’t like him in ‘14.

11. Jordan Cameron -- Two years removed from 80-917-7 season with the Browns. Was having a disappointing '14 before concussions shut him down, although his quarterback situation was lacking. Move to Miami is a nice boost. Ryan Tannehill helped Charles Clay to a No. 6 tight end finish in '13. If he play 16 games, will be a top eight guy.

12. Jordan Reed -- Cut from the same cloth as Kyle Rudolph. Has shown signs when healthy, just rarely healthy. Had 50-465 line in 10 games a year ago, which translates to 80-744 over 16 games.

13. Josh Hill -- Complete wild card but appears to have a golden opportunity. Has never been asked to do much receiving. Has never done much receiving. Used primarily as a blocker in '14. Will be a popular breakout pick with Jimmy Graham out of town.

14. Kyle Rudolph -- Perennial underachiever. Best line (53-493-9) came in '12, the only time he's played all 16 games. Only started 16 games total over the last two seasons. Quarterback situation is more stable now. Much like Cameron, will be a big-time value if he plays close to 16 games.

15. Eric Ebron -- Typical rough rookie year for a tight end. Should see field more this year, but the true breakout may come next season. Will be a popular breakout pick. Good write up on him here, suggesting he will be the Lions third option in the passing game.

16. Coby Fleener -- Quietly had a nice '14, finishing with 51-774-8. Statistically, quite a bit better year than teammate Dwayne Allen, going by per-game averages. Did benefit from Allen missing four games. Received at least seven targets in six of final eight games. I think Allen is above him on the depth chart, though.

17. Delanie Walker -- Was the 11th-ranked tight end in '14. Had 30- and 20-point weeks. Scared off by rookie quarterback and just an all-around unstable offense. Perfect for streaming when anticipating a blowout.

18. Austin Seferian-Jenkins -- Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson inhale too much of the targets in Tampa Bay. If Jameis Winston is a hit, then ASJ could be a top-ten guy in '16.

19. Owen Daniels -- Age 33 but should see the field plenty. Peyton Manning and Gary Kubiak working in his favor.

20. Charles Clay -- Sammy Watkins and Lesean McCoy will be the focal points of Buffalo's offense. Bleak outlook.

Kraft Speaks: Patriots Won't Appeal Deflategate Penalties

Per ESPN.com, Robert Kraft said the Patriots will "accept reluctantly" their punishment handed down by the NFL and Roger Goodell following the Deflategate investigation.

Kraft said Tuesday that the Patriots will not appeal the penalties.

"Although I might disagree what is decided, I do have respect for [commissioner Roger Goodell] and believe that he's doing what he perceives to be in the best interests of [all 32 teams]," Kraft said, while speaking at the NFL owners meetings. "So in that spirit, I don't want to continue the rhetoric that's gone on for the last four months.

"I'm going to accept, reluctantly, what he has given to us and not continue this dialogue and rhetoric. We won't appeal."

The Patriots were fined $1 million and docked two draft picks -- a first-rounder in 2016 and a fourth-rounder in 2017 -- by the NFL after an investigation found that star quarterback Tom Brady was "at least generally aware" of a scheme to illegally deflate footballs for the AFC Championship Game.

Tom Brady's appeal will apparently move forward.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Game By Game Predictions

Building an NFL team from the ground up was never going to be easy.

Building the Jacksonville Jaguars over the past three seasons has been downright frustrating at times. For team general manager David Caldwell, the bluprint he, coach Gus Bradley and team owner Shad Khan discussed when the two were hired back in 2013 must now come to fruition and the continued change in the team roster must stop.

There are no more excuses. There is no tomorrow. The future is now. The players have been signed in free agency. The players have been chosen in the NFL Draft. Everyone must deliver, or head just may roll.

The Jaguars have a tough road to travel this year, which includes the AFC East and the NFC South if they are going to contend for a winning record and potentially a playoff berth. I'm not getting too ahead of myself. For that to happen all the NFL stars must align themselves perfectly.

Here is a look at how I think this season shapes up with the team's record.

Fantasy Football: Top 30 Quarterbacks for 2015

With my wide receiver and tight end rankings out of the way, we shift our focus to the quarterbacks.

Quarterback is the most stable position in fantasy football. The scoring doesn't fluctuate year-to-year as wildly as it does for other positions, and quarterbacks don't come with the same risk for injury.

For the better part of the last five years, it's been the same names leading the way at the position -- Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Those same names litter the top ten again this season.

There are some changes, though.

After such a sustained period of fantasy excellence, Brees took a step back in 2014. While young guns Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill continue their ascent.

While rankings for other positions can vary drastically from now to the start of the season, for the most part, quarterback rankings will hold true. For those in two-quarterback leagues, as we progress toward the start of the year, we will get a better feel for who will be starting for teams with uncertain quarterback situations like the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.

1. Aaron Rodgers -- Best quarterback in the game. Has been a top-two finisher in six of the last seven seasons. Finished with a ridiculous 38-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 2014. Surrounded by Eddie Lacy, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, an absolute juggernaut offense.

2. Andrew Luck -- A volume machine. Actually had 380 more yards and two more scores than Rodgers, but also had 11 more picks. Added 45 fantasy points with his legs. Run game doesn't appear to be much improved, so he'll do it all again this year. Could finish No. 1 if he cuts down the interceptions.

3. Ben Roethlisberger -- Finished as QB No. 5 a year ago, his best ever finish. Set or tied career marks in yards, touchdowns and completion percentage. Has arguably the game's top receiver and running back in Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. Suspension of Bell should mean air-heavy attack first three games.

4. Russell Wilson -- Doesn't have near the passing volume of the other top quarterbacks, threw just 20 touchdowns in '14. The game's premier running quarterback. Had 849 rushing yards last year, and does it without taking too many hits. Addition of Jimmy Graham could mean the offense is starting to shift away from it's run heavy scheme. Graham will be the first elite pass-game target he's had.

5. Peyton Manning -- Overdrafted a year ago after his astounding 2013. Regressed in 2014 but still finished fourth overall. Gone is red-zone weapon Julius Thomas, but Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are on the outside. Over final five regular season games last year, averaged 233 yards, totaling five touchdowns and six picks. I think he continues his slide in '15, but a slide for him is a career year for most.

6. Matt Ryan -- Had a nice bounce-back campaign in 2014. Should get more support from the run game this year. Julio Jones is Julio Jones. Roddy White isn't done yet. Rookie Justin Hardy will replace Harry Douglas in the slot. Should have something resembling a run game this year.

7. Drew Brees -- Could be a nice value pick. Last season snapped a three-year run of top-two finishes. Attempts, completions and yards fairly similar from '13 to '14. Touchdowns dropped off and picks rose. Saints have loaded up on run-game weapons.

8. Cam Newton -- Like Brees, there's value here. Expecting a bounce back season. Down year in '14 spearheaded by injuries (missed two games) and a drop in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Finished as QB No. 17. Was a top-four QB in each of his first three seasons. Needs the running numbers to return to career norms.

9. Tony Romo -- Uncertain running back situation could mean more passing volume. Finished '14 as QB No. 11 despite being 23rd in passing attempts. Led NFL in completion percentage (69.2). Has 65 touchdowns and 19 picks over the last two seasons. Health is a concern. Not as mobile a year ago.

10. Eli Manning -- Had a better 2014 than you think, boosted by Odell Beckham's eruption. Quietly finished as QB No. 10 last year. Over final 14 games, tossed 27 touchdowns and averaged 284 yards per contest.

11. Ryan Tannehill -- Finishes of 24th, 16th and eighth over his three seasons. If waiting to take a quarterback is your preferred strategy, he may be an ideal fit. Had career-best marks for most touchdowns and fewest interceptions in '14.

12. Matthew Stafford -- Likely bounce-back season coming after a disappointing '14. Finished as QB No. 15 last season. Wasn't the same risk taker with an elite defense. Should be asked to shoulder more of the load this year. A healthy Calvin Johnson also helps.

13. Tom Brady -- Tough to rank. Was fifth before being suspended. If ban is reduced to two games, bump him up. Was superb over final 15 games, tossing 39 touchdowns. Entering the year with a healthy Rob Gronkowski.

14. Philip Rivers -- Still a steady producer. Addition of Melvin Gordon should give the Bolts a run game. Keenan Allen will rebound in '15.

15. Sam Bradford -- The allure of Chip Kelly may prevent him from being too much of a bargain. If he stays healthy -- big if -- he should be a fringe QB1. Is better than Sanchez, who put up 2,418-14 in eight starts.

16. Colin Kaepernick -- Lots of changes on the coaching staff. Talent is still there. Reggie Bush and Torrey Smith should boost offense. Had 639 rushing yards last season. Could put up QB1 numbers.

17. Jay Cutler -- Lost a pass-friendly skipper and favorite target. Offense still loaded. If he can keep his job, will be a serviceable streaming and QB2 option.

18. Joe Flacco -- Average finish of QB No. 15 over the past four seasons. Like him better for '16, once Breshad Perriman and Maxx Williams have a year under their belts. QB guru Marc Trestman is new offensive coordinator.

19. Andy Dalton -- After a top-five finish in '13, plummeted to QB No. 18 last year. Does have weapons around him. A.J. Green needs to stay healthy. Great streaming option in one-QB leagues.

20. Teddy Bridgewater -- Had a nice rookie season, but I don't get all the hype. Had just 14 touchdowns and 12 picks. Poor pass-game weapons. Low-end QB2.

21. Robert Griffin III -- After a historic rookie year and multiple knee injuries, just hasn't been the same guy. Hard to trust on a week-to-week basis even as your QB2.

22. Jameis Winston -- Has nice weapons on the outside in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Will have some rough games but should put up QB2 numbers.

23. Carson Palmer -- Lost '14 due to injury, but Bruce Arians loves to take vertical shots. Team needs to figure out how to use the talented Michael Floyd.

24. Alex Smith -- Jeremy Maclin can be a nice addition if he masters the underneath routes because Smith can't win with deep balls. When deployed in the right matchups, can be a solid streamer.

25. Nick Foles -- Believe he was relevant because of the Eagles system.

26. Derek Carr -- Decent rookie year. His strengths match Amari Cooper's strengths, namely the short, quick passing game.

27. Marcus Mariota -- Will have some nice plays with his legs but a rookie QB in a terrible offense.

28. Blake Bortles -- Had a historically bad rookie year. Will get every chance to succeed in Jacksonville. The Jags have done well these past two years to surround him with weapons.

29. Geno Smith -- Think he ends up starting for the Jets. There are worse receiving duos than Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Can Chan Gailey resurrect his career?

30. Brian Hoyer -- Neither he nor Ryan Mallet will be a recommended option. Both do know Bill O'Brien's system well.

FN 'MMH': NFL Nails Patriots With Deflategate Punishment

Football Nation proudly presents the third episode in Season 4 of "Monday Morning Huddle" with host Dave Holcomb.

On this week's show, Holcomb keeps the guest list rolling as he welcomes on FN Senior Writer Doug Tozier and Mechanical Engineer Gary Holcomb.

In the first segment, Dave Holcomb asks Tozier several questions regarding deflate gate in an attempt to objectively share their thoughts and concerns of the Wells Report, which has its obvious flaws. Tozier also argues the punishment handed out to quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots is unjust but does indicate that Brady's legacy has change in the eyes of the public.

During the second segment of this episode, Dave brings on Gary Holcomb, who has a BS in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and a MBA from Harvard Business School. In the segment, Gary provides the listeners specific reasons as to why the conclusions the Wells Report provides based on the testing the footballs underwent at halftime of the AFC Championship Game is seriously flawed.

Finally, Dave Holcomb provides his own opinions on the Patriots rebuttal of Jim McNally's use of the word "deflator", the Patriots punishment and finally Brady's legacy. All that and more in this episode of "Monday Morning Huddle."

The next episode of MMH will appear on June 1.

2015 Florida State Seminoles Season and Schedule Preview

The past two seasons have been two of the greatest seasons in Florida State history, at least on the field of play. The play of star quarterback Jameis Winston seemed to be overshadowed at times by his off the field issues. Winston led the Seminoles to the 2013 national title in dramatic fashion against the Auburn Tigers.

The Seminoles’ 2014 season saw yet even more Winston drama, but yet again they finished the regular season undefeated and made the first annual College Football Playoff. The Seminoles did not fare as well in that situation as the Oregon Ducks beat Winston’s Seminoles 59-20.

Florida State now must start the post Winston era, which to some will come as a great relief. Winston only lost one career game in college, the loss to Oregon, but may have did more harm than good for Florida State in terms of perception.

His winning ways will never be forgotten and rightfully so. He will have some big shoes to fill, but the Seminoles recruiting success appears to be more capable of doing just that in the very near future.

The 2015 season for Florida State will surely be intriguing to watch for a number of reasons. The Seminoles will still be one of the preseason favorites in the ACC because of the lack of quality teams the Seminoles have to play against in today’s Atlantic Coast Conference.

The key to the 2015 Florida State season will be how the quarterback position plays out and if the Seminoles will be able to replace a boat load of talent they have lost to the NFL the past two years. It will be a challenge, but in the world of college football this is a common theme for every team each season.

Here is a complete look at the 2015 Florida State schedule.

Week 2- South Florida Bulls @ Florida State Seminoles

College Football & NFL Trivia Challenge: Are You A Trivia Wiz?

As the NFL and college football offseason progresses, the impatient wait for football to return grows each day. We are just about three months away from actual live football being on television. It may seem a long ways away, but we are almost there.

So, this got me thinking what would be a fun way to enjoy some days in the very long offseason in both college football and the NFL? I have found the solution, for the short term at least. I figured it would be a fun idea to play a little trivia game where we combine the sport of college football and NFL.

I will list some players that are currently in the NFL and the audience, you the readers, will try to determine where each current NFL player played their college football at. I think this is a fun, educational way to enjoy the football offseason and just a different twist from your original football article.

So, here is how this will work. I will post the names of the NFL star in the upper section of this article and just below I will type the names of the colleges these athletes attended. As you read through the list of NFL players you try and match their name with the college they attended and played college football.

You are welcome to post a comment to this article telling the ones you know and see if you can list all the athletes and their corresponding college correctly. So, without further delay let the trivia challenge begin.

FN "MMH": NFL Nails Patriots with Deflate Gate Punishment
