Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Schedule: Game-by-Game Predictions

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off of a 9-7 record after their second year under Head Coach Andy Reid. At times, the Chiefs looked to be a playoff contender, but at other times their inconsistencies were very apparent.

Going into 2015 if the Chiefs want to get back into the playoffs they’ll have to beat quality opponents. Here’s how I see the 2015 Kansas City Chiefs season playing out:

Week 1: @ Texans

The Texans are unsure as to who the quarterback will be for them on day one, and they lost Andre Johnson to Indianapolis in free agency.

Result: Chiefs 24, Texans 10.

Week 2: Broncos

The Chiefs have yet to beat the Broncos since Peyton Manning has been the quarterback. Well, there’s a first time for everything right? Plus it’s a night game in Arrowhead Stadium.

Result: Chiefs 23, Broncos 17.

Week 3: @ Packers

The Chiefs travel to Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in week 3. Beating Aaron Rodgers is no easy task, but beat him at home? Almost impossible.

Result: Packers 38, Chiefs 21.

Week 4: @ Bengals

As long as it’s not a primetime or playoff game, Andy Dalton will deliver. Oh, and the Bengals have A.J. Green.

Results: Bengals 27, Chiefs 14.

Week 5: Bears

The Bears have massive holes on defense. Holes that Jamaal Charles will appreciate. Give me the Chiefs at home.

Result: Chiefs 31, Bears 17.

Week 6: @ Vikings

The Vikings are getting all-pro Adrian Peterson back, and Teddy Bridgewater showed potential to be a solid player. But they aren’t quite there yet.

Result: Chiefs 20, Vikings 16.

Week 7: Steelers

The Steelers have the potential to win the AFC if they can avoid the injury bug. They go into Arrowhead and get it done.

Result: Steelers 27, Chiefs 19.

Week 8: Lions

It’s another night game at Arrowhead stadium. And it’s against a very inconsistent Lions team who lost their best defensive player to free agency. Yes, I’ve heard of Calvin Johnson, but…

Result: Chiefs 24, Lions 21.

Week 9: Bye

Week 10: Broncos

The Chiefs may have gotten the better of Peyton and the Broncos in week 2, but don’t count on that happening twice.

Result: Broncos 35, Chiefs 24.

Week 11: @ Chargers

Coming off of a game in Denver, only to travel way out west to play the Chargers in San Diego on Sunday night. Chargers.

Result: Chargers 21, Chiefs 14.

Week 12: Bills

This is a tough one. The Bills have an outstanding defense with new Head Coach Rex Ryan. But they have so many question marks on offense. And the Chiefs are at home. Chiefsssssssss.

Result: Chiefs 23, Bills 10.

Week 13:  @ Raiders

Two rivals meet again. The Raiders actually have a bit of offensive firepower too, and they’re at home. Just Win Baby.

Result: Raiders 23, Chiefs 21.

Week 14: Chargers

The Chargers are one of those teams that you just never know what to expect. A cold December divisional game in Arrowhead. Chiefs.

Result: Chiefs 28, Chargers 17.

Week 15: @ Ravens

The Chiefs visit Joe Flacco and the Ravens in Baltimore. Flacco is hard to beat up there. Ravens.

Result: Ravens 26, Chiefs 13.

Week 16: Browns

We still don’t know if the Browns will have a solid quarterback and stud receiver Josh Gordon is gone for the year. KC.

Result: Chiefs 27, Browns 7.

Week 17: Raiders

The Raiders won’t be that good in 2015. They just always manage to play the Chiefs tough no matter who’s on their team. Which is why they won in week 13. But it won’t happen again.

Result: Chiefs 31, Raiders 10.

Overall Record: 9-7.

Just as in 2014, the Chiefs look to go 9-7 in 2015. But let me be clear, the Chiefs have a much better team compared to a year ago. The signing of Jeremy Macklin will help Alex Smith Stretch the field and Jamaal Charles is an absolute terror out of the backfield. But with all that said, they just have a brutal schedule. 7 of their games are against teams that made the postseason in 2014, and 3 of their games are against teams that barely missed the postseason in 2014 at 9-7.  Tough break for the Chiefs, but who knows, maybe they have a few tricks up their sleeve.
