The dumpster fire which is the Oakland Raiders just got a little smellier. Allen, sporting an 8-28 record as Raiders' HC, was let go via phone call. Perhaps there wasn't enough time to address this as the team crossed the Atlantic following Sunday's embarrasment versus the Miami Dolphins in London. The 38-14 loss dropped Oakland to 0-4 on the year, and with no sign of improvement on the horizon, Allen was given the boot.

Sparano formerly was HC for he Miami Dolphins for most of four seasons and sported a 29-32 record. Miami actually took down the AFC East in his first year, losing to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round.
